As parents, we know one of the toughest decisions to make is deciding what and/or how many extra curricular activities to put your child in. The fact that you are looking into enrolling your child in something speaks volumes. Here at Weapons at Hand we believe we have the ideal activity for your loved one. We pride ourselves in being the premier martial arts school for your child. Even though our instructor has a 4th Degree Black Sash in Chinese Gung Fu and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Freestyle Karate, he has decided to evolve and grow with the industry and teach Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The benefits to your child is the ability to learn a variety of martial arts styles while learning the basic values of martial arts. Your child will learn a mixture of kung fu, karate, wrestling, jiu jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, judo and others. Some techniques of each will be learned and mixed to teach your child the best of mixed martial arts. At the same time, your child will get the basic values of martial arts. Since we have evolved from a very traditional martial arts style and have been in business 18 years, we know the core of martial arts instruction. That is discipline, respect for self and others, self confidence, teamwork, loyalty and the rewards of hard work. If you have any questions please contact us for further information. We are always happy to speak with parents and guardians.

Theme of the Month
Humility-A modest opinion of one's own importance, rank, etc.
"My gradfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition." - Indira Gandhi
Parents / Care Givers, This month we are focusing on humility. You can help us teach your child about humility by: 1. Model humility for them. 2. Help them properly define humility. 3. Test the motivating aspect of humility. 4. Provide them opportunities to demonstrate humility. Thank you for all you do!!
